Couple of Pictures from Mike's Trips to Vancouver
Mike managed to get across the border a couple of times last summer. He was a bit nervous the first time (if you don't know why...I'll explain it to you later), so he made me drive down to follow him up, just in case he didn't make it across. He brought Jayk and Darby with him--clever decoys!! Needless to say their was no problem.
My roomate was expecting there to be two dogs staying in the apartment, however I could tell he was a bit started when the boyz barged in and took over every imaginable living space in our little abode. He warmed up to em' real quick.
The first time Mikey came up, I took him out to meet the friends. He was nervous—it was cute as shit! He spent quite a bit of time in the bathroom spiking his hair, then brushing it down with his hand....spike it again...brush it down. He went with the hair down look that night. my friends instantly took to him...they share the same sense of humour...Mikey becamePopeye to them...whether he liked it or not. This was the first time I had the opportunity to see Mikey shake his money maker. As he loosened up a bit, he had to be pulled off the dance floor—like a discruntled dancing pony! That boy was not affraid to to do a spin or two!
I treated mIke to a night at one of the fancy hotels in Vancouver—got a wicked deal on it, but didn't tell Mikey that—was trying to impress him. He freakin' loved it! I had to drag him out of there the next day. He paid mad attention to every detail of the room, and must have had about 8 showers in the waterfall shower. Mikey definatly appreciated design. (by the next weekend...Mike had transformed his room at home into a replica of the hotel room).
Mike came to Canuckland for the Canada Day Weekend (yes..you Americans--we celebrate our independence too!) We went to a backyard celebration and ate rosted pig, right off the spit!! Mike could not believe that there was an entire pig on a spit, and that we were BBQ in that style---he spent a great portion of the night chatting up the BBQer about his own love of BBQing and the tricks of the trades that he could share. He didn't hand over his sacred rib reciepe though....some things never need to be shared! ( i know it !!) An opera version of "O' Canada", in which we all made Mike sing, was the highlight of the night.
Whenever Mike made it up to Vancouver, we spent a lot of time taking in the sights, and even more time SHOPPING!! Not my favorite thing to do....but neccessary—acording to Mikey. These pics are are great reminder of some of our time spent together....goofing off around town...
Miss you all...and always so gratefull that I have been introduced to each of you....love always —Marty

My heart swells seeing these pictures of you two. Michael was never so happy as he was with YOU Marty. You softened his soul and filled his heart with that Special love some of us never find. I guess he was saving the BEST for LAST. I love you my darling. Thanks for sharing.

I'm so sad today, 12 Nov 2006. It's Veteran's Day Weekend and Michael, I miss you so much. I see commericals all the time showing SAR and what you did for us and our country. GOD I am so proud of you Son. And so very very sorry you are gone from this earthy plane. You've rattled my faith so it must need to be strengthend....Stay with me boy. I want you with me when I see your sister again, when I meet your favorite guy, Marty, when we build our home on the ranch with an outside kitchen with YOU in mind.....Oh Michael, thanks for the memories my darling......You and your sister are so important to me. I love you both like you are mine. And I've gotten to know Meggie all over again. How I love your little baby sister and I look at her and my baby and wonder......Honey, we're all gonna be ok. We're all on the same guest...to save this world of ours for our children. Thanks for hooking us up with Marty. He's a fine youngman whom I am very proud to know. Can't wait to hug him. He's almost done with the Phoenix Tattoo. I'm sure you'll love it. Too big for Auntie....I was shocked cuz my Phoenix is about three inches NOT three feet....in size....yeah yeah yeah, size matters......
Blah....
Thanks Jay for helping me have access to this everyday. I cannot tell you how this helps me get through losing him.
My heartfelt love to all. Happy Veteran's Day and May GOD BLESS YOU

Hey Boy, I know you're watching over us and I just wanted to share. We're all doing well. Meggon and I are really working on the release and let go stage of our relationships. "Loving people live in a loving world. Hostile people live in a hostile world. Same place. How come?" (Dyer) We are trying to release the hate so if you can help, it would be appreciated.
I love you Michael.
Your favorite Aunt.
